Film / Zenit
So we were driving from Yerevan to Tbilisi, and somewhere in northern Armenia we had a car accident. These are some film photos made with Zenit. Car was already raised back.
Just before the accident, I was probably was reading. I remember that I felt turbulence and when I looked up I saw our car was off the road and a Kamaz next to us. Apparently Norayr, our driver, tried to pass the truck, but it pushed us off the road. We lost control over the car, it went back to the road and hit the Kamaz.
At that point it was like being in a movie. Everything happened very fast. You hadn’t even time to be scared. I don’t remember clearly the impact itself, but I remember that the car turned on its right. The first thing I remember was Satanik laughing. Magically, no one was killed or even injured.

I was in Hong Kong for the first time. Actually, it was the first time I have been to any country to the east of Armenia (I had only traveled in Europe/Caucasus).
It was very difficult to find a shop where I could buy camera films. And when I finally did, I had little time left to make photos.
I loved Honk Kong. Although I couldn’t cope with the subtropic climate. I am not used to humidity and hit like you have there.
But I liked it. I loved being in a whole different world. I realized that it is the first time that I am in Asia ‘proper’. Hong Kong was my first taste of East.
Photos made with Zenit EM film camera
Last weekend I bought a Zenit EM from the flee market of Yerevan (Vernissage). As Norayr told me: it’s the best way to start professional photography if you can’t afford an expensive digital camera.
So here are some of my first shots. Frankly, I haven’t used a photographic film for more than a decade and I never had my own SLR camera before. So don’t be too critical ։-)
