Tatevik and Sofa, in Mirzoyan library (No, this is not the selfie)

From my trip in Nagorno-Karabakh of last summer (June 2017). A piece of “no-man’s land”, somewhere near the village Aghavnatun. We were rewarded with this scene after an exhausting drive through the mountains.

I was in a club with a friend where I met her. I recognized her only at the end: she was the daughter of my neighbor some years ago. I think she was only 12 back then. I said I wanted to make photos of her and asked to meet again.

They tried to seduce me, but in vain…

On a sunny Saturday we made a bicycle tour to the peninsula Marken located 20 km to the north of Amsterdam. I made some photographs with a Nikon Coolpix P90 (12mp). While I feel the disadvantages compared to a DSLR, I really enjoy it’s 24x optical zoom.

In the village Zuiderwoude we met a very kind girl, Somer, and made a little trip with her canon. Actually there is so much water in this region, that it seems everyone has a watercraft in the backyard… That´s probably why the municipality is called Waterland.

The images were shot on manual mode. You can see details about shutter speed, aperture etc. in bottom right of the photograph (after you open the gallery).

Two photos made in Ajapnyak, one of the districts in Yerevan. Somehwere between Arakelyan and Margaryan streets.

Last weekend I bought a Zenit EM from the flee market of Yerevan (Vernissage). As Norayr told me: it’s the best way to start professional photography if you can’t afford an expensive digital camera.

So here are some of my first shots. Frankly, I haven’t used a photographic film for more than a decade and I never had my own SLR camera before. So don’t be too critical ։-)
